Cloud networking is a method of connecting users, applications, and resources using cloud-based technologies. In this model, the physical hardware and network management tools are hosted in a public or private cloud environment rather than in an on-premises data center.
In cloud networking (or cloud-based networking), the entire infrastructure, including the physical hardware and management tools, is provided by a cloud provider. Cloud-enabled networking refers to a traditional on-premises network that uses specific cloud-based resources for management or security functions.
Cloud networking relies on cloud infrastructure (physical hardware owned by a provider), virtualization (abstracting network functions from hardware for better flexibility), and cloud-based management tools (software used to monitor and secure the network)
By utilizing a cloud provider’s globally distributed data centers, organizations can provide users with low-latency access to applications. This ensures that resources are delivered from a location physically closer to the user, regardless of where they are in the world.
